2006 PCAHA Scholarship Program
 Awards Reception

 Tuesday, May 16, 2006 / G.M. Place, Vancouver, B.C.

The Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association annually awards a number of scholarships in recognition of academic achievement and community/school service. PCAHA-registered Midget and Juvenile players in Grade 11, Grade 12, or finished high school are eligible to apply for these awards. Recipients must apply their awards towards tuition at a post-secondary educational institution.

2005-2006 marks the 29th year of operation for the PCAHA Scholarship Program. Since the Program's inception by the late Bruce Allison during the 1977-1978 season, the numbers and amounts of scholarship and bursary awards have increased significantly, thanks in large part to the support of the Program’s sponsors. A total of $14,250 in scholarships was awarded to 17 deserving Minor Hockey players. Over 29 years approximately 568 awards with a total value of $303,350 have been made.
