2008 PCAHA Scholarship
Program |
The Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association annually awards a number of scholarships in recognition of academic achievement and community/school service. PCAHA-registered Midget and Juvenile players in Grade 11, Grade 12, or finished high school are eligible to apply for these awards. Recipients must apply their awards towards tuition at a post-secondary educational institution. 2007-2008 marks the 31st year of operation for the PCAHA Scholarship Program. Since the Program's inception by the late Bruce Allison during the 1977-1978 season, the numbers and amounts of scholarship and bursary awards have increased significantly, thanks in large part to the support of the Program’s sponsors. This evening, a total of $14,250 in scholarships will be awarded to 17 deserving Minor Hockey players. Over 31 years approximately 629 awards with a total value of $344,850 have been made through the Program. |
