2008 PCAHA Scholarship Program
 Awards Recipients

 Tuesday, May 13, 2009 / G.M. Place, Vancouver, B.C.

Each year the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association awards a number of scholarships in recognition of academic achievement and community/school service combined with hockey participation, to Midget or Juvenile players best meeting the criteria. Written applications are judged by an independent Scholarship Adjudication Committee composed of current and retired high school Principals and And Vice-Principals.

2008-2009 marks the 32nd year of operation for the PCAHA Scholarship Program. Since the Program's inception by the late Bruce Allison during the 1977-1978 season, the numbers and amounts of scholarship and bursary awards have increased significantly, thanks in large part to the support of the Program’s sponsors. This evening, a total of $12,750 in scholarships will be awarded to 17 deserving Minor Hockey players. Over 32 years approximately 646 awards with a total value of $357,600 have been made through the Program.
