Scholarship Tournaments
Each year the PCAHA holds a number of special recognition events to
promote the ideals of scholastic achievement and sportsmanship combined with
participation in Minor Hockey at the Midget and Juvenile levels, and to showcase
the talents of players in these divisions.
PCAHA Presidents League Joe Morellato Midget “C” Scholarship Tournament
(10th Annual) -
This event will be held December 10-12, 2015 Participation is open to Midget “C”
players within Presidents “C” League. The emphasis will be on FUN and SAFE
hockey.
PCAHA Midget Scholarship Tournament (39th
Annual) -
This event will be held January 25-31, 2016. To be eligible to
participate, players must be 17 years old as of December 31, 2015; must be
registered on a male/integrated Midget team with a PCAHA member Association; and
must meet academic and sportsmanship requirements. The Tournament will consist
of a four team single round-robin with a 3rd place game and championship final
game, for a total of eight (8) games.
PCAHA Lions Gate League “C” Scholarship Tournament (1st
Annual) -
This event will be held February 6-8, 2015 Participation is open to Midget “C”
players within Lions Gate “C” League. The emphasis will be on FUN and SAFE
hockey.
PCAHA Juvenile Scholarship Tournament (34th
Annual) -
This event will be held February 8-13*, 2016. To be eligible to
participate, players must be registered with a Juvenile team within the PCAHA,
with first preference given to graduating Juveniles (20 years old as of December
31, 2015). Participants must also meet sportsmanship requirements. The
Tournament will consist of a three team single round-robin with a final game,
for a total of four (4) games.
PCAHA Female Midget Scholarship Tournament (17th
Annual) -
This event will be held March 5-11, 2016. To be eligible to
participate, players must be 17 years old as of December 31, 2015; must be
registered on a team in the PCAHA Female Midget division; and must meet
sportsmanship requirements. The Tournament will consist of a three team single
round-robin with a final game, for a total of four (4) games.
PCAHA Fraser Valley "C" Midget Scholarship Tournament
(6th Annual) -
This event will be held March 5-12, 2016. This tournament uses a
slightly different game criteria which will be reviewed separately for the
Associations involved. To be eligible to participate, players must be 17 years
old as of December 31, 2015; must be registered on a Midget "C" team in the
PCAHA's Fraser Valley East “C” League, Fraser Valley North “C” League, or Fraser
Valley West “C” League; and must meet sportsmanship requirements. The Tournament
will consist of a four team single round-robin with a 3rd place game and
championship final game, for a total of eight (8) games.
